As one who is very empathetic, it is of the utmost torment, to say the least, to see or hear of the atrocities committed by human beings to each other on a regular basis, be it on TV or from reading about history or any other medium. My heart bleeds for the massacred victims of wars and senseless crimes and I always wonder, "will justice ever be served?"
The truth is, it may NOT be...at least in this life. And that's a very hard fact to swallow.
But Christ in alive and with that being said, the world is already dead. Justice was already served, and though things may not look or appear that way, we should all be enccouraged to WALK & LIVE as though it is, finding comfort in He who already nailed the coffin shut on the flesh and all its evil and sin and filth.
If he has kept us in this world to show us what ISN'T ANY LONGER, let's remember at all times what really is. Then perhaps we in Him won't be so affected by outside stimuli so much.

in bringing this up! You are so right, for even if we are not conscious of any particular atrocity taking place, the evil acts of men distress our hearts. Having been made alive, we truly desire peace, even when it seems we don't. We do groan within ourselves for the revealing of his peace in the world.
It is so encouraging to hear you standing firm in the truth of your calling, which is the life that has been raised from the dead in Christ. Thanks for stirring me to remember the reality of my life as I walk in a world that would have me believe I am what I can see or touch or hear. I thank my God for giving me eyes to truly see what cannot be seen.
